BB Events: Roebling Tea Room Fall Wine Dinner

Are we the only ones who noticed that it’s like someone flipped a switch and suddenly it’s fall? The weather is a perfect pairing for our latest wine event at Roebling Tea Room on Thursday, September 3. We’ll be tasting three wines from Loup Blanc winery located in the Minervois, and winemaker Alan Rochard will be joining, along with the good folks from Jenny & Francois, who are providing all the wine. Rochard’s methods are very traditional and he will speak about his low-yield vineyard and carefully made wines. The dominant varietals at Loup Blanc are Syrah, Grenache and Carignan, with some Alicante and Tempranillo thrown into the mix for fun and all the grapes are organically cultivated.

Chef Dennis Spina has a fall-inspired pairing menu planned including some lamb dishes designed to highlight the beautiful tannins and lovely fruit that come through in Rochard’s wines. The ideal fall menu, plus a winemaker who loves to talk about wine almost as much as he likes to make (and drink) wine.

Thursday, September 3. Roebling Tea Room, 8pm. $7o.
