BB Sponsored Event: Fourth of July Camp Out at the Queens Farm

Ah, the Fourth of July. Do you really want to spend it packed onto a friend-of-a-friend’s roof, eating a lukewarm hamburger and craning your neck to catch a glimpse of the fireworks over New Jersey? Nah.
Come to the Queens Farm! BB pal Tom Mylan will be roasting a farm fresh pig, and we’ll have pulled pork sandwiches, plus salads and sides, pie, and more from Sweet Deliverance. Brooklyn Brewery will be serving up locally made brews.

But it’s not all about food. We’ll have some special musical guests, play capture the flag, kick the can and maybe even flashlight tag on the farm, and then camp out in the orchard. In the morning we’ll be serving a breakfast that includes just-gathered eggs straight from the farm and seasonal fruit muffins and scones.
Food, beer, music, games, a camping spot and parking all included in your $80 ticket. Tents (which you can rent here) and transportation are up to you. We will provide car services to the LIRR on Sunday morning. Get tickets here. The farm is open to visitors all day, but the fun and food will really get started shortly after 5 pm, when the gates close to the public. Profits from this event will benefit the Queens Farm.
