We really wish we could watch the Miss Brooklyn Pageant on TV this Saturday, when it returns after a 16-year hiatus to the Kumble Theater in Downtown Brooklyn — because we can’t imagine spending the $25 in advance, or $30 at the door to see it in person. brooklynqueens.org
But we would love to drop $200, if we had it to spare, to see the Oscars in the state-of-the-art screening room at Steiner Studios’ Stage 6, where country singer (and true Brooklyn character) Debbie Dangerfield, former owner of Clinton Hill’s Saddle Down B & B, is hosting a catered dinner party this Sunday. (Call for more information and tickets: 718-395-9006) UPDATE: Monkey Town in Williamsburg is offering a more reasonable Oscar Night dinner ($30 min. per person, $50 for the tasting menu) as the Academies are broadcast on four screens. RSVP soon. monkeytownhq.com

Tickets start at $55 and go on sale to the general public this Monday. stannswarehouse.org

The Brooklyn Museum’s open call for photographers to submit their images of the “Changing Face of Brooklyn” begins March 1, as part of Click! – an innovative, crowd-sourced, crowd-curated exhibition. Also at the Museum’s new Sackler Center for Feminist Art is the first U.S. survey of Egyptian-born artist Ghada Amer’s photography, sculpture, and her sensual, embroidered paintings. brooklynmuseum.org
