Brooklyn Based begins in earnest next week, but I couldn’t wait till then to test out this fantastic site and email that Geoff Smith designed and built, with the help of Katie Gastley (nice logo) and Sara Levin (great photo finds).

For our inaugural email, I’m rolling out the first official Photo Quiz. Each week you’ll get a chance to test your Brooklyn knowledge by guessing where in the borough one of our pictures was taken. The first one to answer correctly will win cool stuff like tickets to shows, CDs, and books. Today, however, if you can tell me which street in Brooklyn this red door is located, you’ll win the respect of those who couldn’t figure it out themselves. (Click on the thumbnail for a larger pic.)
