ka3.jpg31 Takes
If you missed the 500-person strong opening for “31 Under 31: Young Women in Art Photography,” there are two weeks left to see the impressive, often narrative-driven work of these ladies at 3rd Ward. Come March 22, 6-8 pm, Amy Stein will lead a panel discussion on women (of all ages) in art photography. Featured here and in the show, “The Bute St Goldfish” by Brooklynite Ka-Man Tse. 3rdward.com

Click!, the Brooklyn Museum’s crowd-sourced photo exhibit is currently accepting Brooklyn-themed photos from amateurs, photobloggers and pros through the end of March. Come April 1, anyone can judge the works, which will be installed in the museum in late June. brooklynmuseum.org

hall.jpgA Disarming Armory
If the Whitney Biennial is on your to-see list, carve out time to check out the nearby Park Avenue Armory. Filled with installations, it’s also the spot for parties like Eduardo Sarabia’s Salon Aleman, where he’ll be serving homemade tequila from 10 pm-1 am this Friday and next Wed., and a 24-hour-danceathon–which you clock in and out of–starting this Saturday at 11 am in the massive Drill Hall (left). It’s all free, and the chance to explore the exquisite, decrepit Armory is priceless. whitney.org

Brooklyn Flea
If you haven’t yet heard, the city’s largest flea market — a 40,000-square-foot lot on Lafayette between Clermont and Vanderbilt Aves. in Fort Greene — is opening April 6. The nearly year-round market will be open every Sunday from 10 am to 5 pm, and hundreds of vendors from Western Mass. to Red Hook will sell clothing, jewelry, furniture, art, food, books, records, and antiques. Check out the lineup at brooklynflea.com.

turturro.jpgEndgame
If you thought Cate Blanchett and Hugo Weaving in “Hedda Gabler” was a star-studded production at BAM, consider “Endgame,” starring John Turturro as Hamm, Max Casella as Clov and Broadway superstars Elaine Stritch and Alvin Epstein (as Nell and Nagg). Epstein, in fact, played Clov in the American premiere of “Endgame” in 1958. The new staging of the Beckett classic opens April 25. Tickets are on sale now at bam.org.

Huarache Countdown
The Parks Dept. granted the Red Hook Vendors a six-year contract — yay! — but then told them they needed as much as 30K per stall to bring the whole operation to code, which means opening day will likely not be late April/early May, but more like June.
