Prizes await those brave enough to bring back tires from the canal. Sign yourself up and be assigned a team, or send in your team name and number of teammates.

First Night
Fourth of July fireworks not your thing? The Brooklyn Museum offers an alternative with its free Target First Saturday. The evening, titled America Remix, features the alt-country sounds of Alex Battles and the Whisky Rebellion, authentic Guinean music performed by the Mandingo Ambassadors, the Latin stylings of Samba Nation, and the indie rock of the Shondes. The event is rounded out with a screening of the 2007 film The Namesake and a night-closing dance party spun by Cosmo Baker of The Rub.

Sleep Under the Stars in Queens
There are still tickets available for the 4th of July Pig Roast and Camp Out at Queens Farm. Beer from Brooklyn Brewery, plus pulled pork, potato salad, farm fresh veggies, campfire, apple pie and breakfast in the morning. $80, tickets here.

SUNDAY: Fermented Cinema
Grab a glass of pinot noir and settle in for a screening of Sideways in Enoteca on Court’s garden, at 7:30pm. The film is the second of five in the Carroll Gardens wine bar’s Wine Film Festival series; the remaining three films will screen each Sunday through the end of the month.

MONDAY: Ommegang Sally
The folks from Cooperstown’s Belgian-style Ommegang Brewery will pair four of their fine craft ales with cheeses during the $10 beer tasting flight from 6-8pm at the Bell House. Ommegang pints are just $3 for the rest of the night. Try the Rare Vos!

TUESDAY: Beer Craft
