Developer
Looking for a Wordpress developer with solid PHP/HTML/CSS abilities to maintain and enhance an existing WP-based content site. Responsibilities include the maintenence of current code and database, security and usability enhancements, as well as integration with third-party services (including the occasional implementation of third-party APIs). Experience with mail list services (ie, MailChimp) a plus. Please email examples of your work and your hourly rate.

Writers and Photographers
BB is on the hunt for columnists, bloggers, and photobloggers. Propose any column or beat you’d like cover, and your angle on it. Maybe you’re a teacher and crafter who can offer advice on DIY projects, or a bike messenger with a camera and a dozen street art photosets. Or maybe you’re just a writer or photographer, looking for a new home for your voice and work. The specific topics we’re keen on covering include design, art, parenting, schools, reviews, shopping, local start-ups, profiles, interviews, queer culture and events, decorating, crafts, fashion, dating, advice, biking, history, urban farms, gardening, field trips to the far reaches of the borough, and stories beyond the borough, in like-minded cities. In other words, we’re wide open and we’d love to hear from you.

Brooklyn Based
We’re seeking a few enthusiastic editorial interns who are eager to write about culture, people and places in Brooklyn, comfortable working at home and in coffee shops, available for weekly editorial meetings, and experienced in the ways of Wordpress, Twitter, and the like.
