The UnFancy Food Show 2010

Brooklyn Based is home to all your UnFancy Food Show 2010 info.

After three years of cramming a couple thousand people into the mega awesome backyard at the East River Bar we’re shaking things up and taking the UnFancy Food Show south to Gowanus. This year, the show will be on Sunday, June 27 at The Bell House.

Thanks to our generous friends at Brooklyn Brewery we offering $3 Brooklyn Lager tall boys $2 12-oz cans — the tall boys are in such demand that they ran out! That’s right, tall boys. We have that effect on people.

Why the Bell House? Well, it’s so much bigger, they have a cafe permit for the sidewalk space so we can still have some outdoor action, there’s plenty of room for vendors on the street, there are two bars and plenty of bathrooms inside, and there’s a stage.  Andy Laird from Nunu Chocolates (multi-talented) just released his second album and he will play, along with our friends The Dixons.

Music, food, cheap beers, air conditioning and the same awesome rag tag band of food pirates as ever, plus some slightly fancier (but still UnFancy!) newcomers. See you there.

Deets:
NOTE: Due to insurance, security and other bummer costs for us and the Bell House, this event is 21+. However, if you have a baby in a stroller or a toddler who doesn’t know the difference between Old Overholt and Tullamore Dew, feel free to bring the non-booze-sneaking little folk. It’s the teens we (all) worry about.
